GuadalestWE HAVE NO PROPERTIES HERE BUT A GOOD PLACE TO VISIT FOR THAT TRIP OUTOR WHEN YOU HAVE VISITED BENIDORM. Guadalest FiestasLike other Spanish towns Guadalest has numerous fiestas, The list below will be updated shortly, If you have any comments or fiesta dates to add to this page please send them to us for inclusion. We will keep adding to this list and will produce a calendar so you can see what is coming up, or book your time over here to coincide with your favourites The charming village of Guadalest is one of the best days out in the province of Alicante. Surrounded by the Aitana, Serella & Xorta Mountains the village is widely recognised as being a historically important site, as well as one of great beauty. Once a military stronghold of great strategic importance, Guadalest is the site of several ancient fortifications. Dating back to 715AD the town is of Islamic origin. It was relied on heavily by the Moors in their bid for control of the region, & again by European forces in the war of Spanish succession. The town has many visitors (especially during the summer months), although this has done little to affect its aesthetic appeal. As a result a variety of small museums & a host of cafes & restaurants are open for business. You are able to pick up a vast selection of local and national products; a good place to buy some interesting gifts. The wine, honey crafts are amongst the best you can find.
