It is very easy to get a mortgage in Spain you will need proof of income in England, passports and a Spanish N.I.E. number (identification number) we will help you through this process taking no commission. The rate of interest is a lot lower than England and can be fixed for a year at a time.
Transferring money to Spain
Do not under any circumstances travel with large sums of money. The world wide banking system allows transfer of money at very low cost and is secure. Make sure you have an agreement with a Spanish bank that allows you to deposit money free of charge (if you don’t ask they will charge you!) and use a reputable agent of which we will be able to give you contact numbers.
Exchange rates
Make sure you get good rates, so even if you know of an agent, get a second opinion.
As an example: The difference between €250’000 transferred at 1.44 to 1.42 is £2,445.22 pounds! I know these rates were a long time ago but you can see what I mean
