Estate Agents, Costa Blanca, Spain
As Estate Agents acting directly for the builder we are able to help you even after you have moved in. Things can be daunting especially as all the letters and bills you receive will now be in Spanish. The Spanish people will try to explain everything to you as best they can but if you are not sure of something just call into one of our offices or send us an email and we will set you straight.
We are not the kind of Estate Agent that will just take your money and run away.
You will find that your neighbours will know some of the answers but do not hesitate to contact us. Even if it is to check that what you have been told is correct.
Below isa bit of information you may find useful about living in Spain:
Schools in Spain
We have had a lot of customers who have children in school, either Spanish state schools or one of the numerous international schools. If you are intending to put any of your children directly into a Spanish school then it is advisable to have some Spanish lessons before you leave Britain, it just gives them a little head start. If your children are under 5 then they adapt within a few days.
Medical care in Spain
Medical care in Spain is as good if not better than in England.
Your first line of medical care is in the pharmacies where there is always a trained medical person behind the counter who will be able to give you the initial care required. If they feel you need to seek further medical assistance then they will tell you to go to see your doctor. It is slightly different from this point compared to England the main difference being they will not fob you off with some tablets for a couple of weeks to see if it gets better. They will immediately do tests to see what the problem is.
If you are not a resident in Spain then you are covered by the European Union. If you are a resident you are again covered by your employment contract or with your self employed contributions. If you are of retirement age and you are moving here you will again be covered by the European Union.
Infrastructure in Spain
Because Spain is a rapidly developing country its infrastructure is very good and reasonable new. This includes: hospitals, schools, banking and travel.
